New Mexico Unemployment

According to the BLS current population survey (CPS), the unemployment rate for New Mexico rose 1.0 percentage points in December 2020 to 8.2%. The state unemployment rate was 1.5 percentage points higher than the national rate for the month. The unemployment rate in New Mexico peaked in July 2020 at 12.7% and is now 4.5 percentage points lower.
