Las Vegas-Paradise, Nevada Job Growth
There were 881,100 jobs in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2014 according to the CES survey of employers. The CPS survey of households showed 920,567 employed persons for the month. Las Vegas added 700 jobs in December 2014 according to the CES survey while the broader CPS measure of employment fell by 384 (Comparing CES and CPS employment numbers.). CES employment for Las Vegas peaked in December 2007 at 931,100. Since then 50,000 jobs have been lost in Las Vegas according to the employer survey. From a trough of 798,200 in September 2010, Las Vegas has gained 82,900 jobs according to CES employment figures.
CPS employment reached a maximum of 920,951 for Las Vegas in November 2014. 384 jobs have been lost in Las Vegas since then according to the household survey.
