Nevada Job Growth

There were 1,161,900 jobs in Nevada in April 2013 according to the CES survey of employers. The CPS survey of households showed 1,243,805 employed persons for the month. Nevada added 5,600 jobs in April 2013 according to the CES survey while the broader CPS employment measure rose by 2,359 (Comparing CES and CPS employment numbers.). CES employment peaked in March 2007 for Nevada at 1,297,300. Since then 135,400 jobs have been lost in Nevada according to the employer survey. From a trough of 1,110,800 in September 2010, Nevada has gained 51,100 jobs according to CES employment figures.

CPS employment in Nevada reached a maximum of 1,259,472 in March 2008. 15,667 jobs have been lost in Nevada since then according to the household survey. From a December 2009 low of 1,196,044, Nevada has added 47,761 jobs according to the CPS survey.
